2006-06-05 03:13:00 | I use Norton but it looks like AVG is better. I think I'll try it out. | alsoslick (10137) | |
2006-06-07 04:54:00 | Not really I guess. Check the top ten anti-virus review. McAfee is really good for me even though I've used Norton for years. I detects the old viruses for me but Norton didn't. | MTLance (6768) | |
2006-06-07 05:54:00 | Norton. Just cause. | rob_on_guitar (4196) | |
2006-06-08 04:57:00 | Norton. Just cause. I don't get it. Explaint it properly. Norton is not that great. Although I've used it for years it doesn't mean that'll I'll loyal to Norton. And I'm not a fan to anything except the protection they provided. McAfee software design is not that bad. AVG one is really gay plus not that great, means not full protection. I'll get McAfee next year again. Choose wisely guys I mean Windows users. Can't afford it? Use Linux.

2006-06-08 05:20:00 | I used Norton for ten years and found it satisfactory as far as a/v is concerned. But the latest versions drag too much from your resources. Since switching to nod 32 My speed has nearly doubled. And not a single virus has got through.

2006-06-20 07:50:00 | I have seen soooooo many short sighted ignorant articles in PCworld, you will have to excuse me if I am not impressed by articles written by Journalists. PC world has favoured ZA and Norton's in the past, I rest my case! PS once again no reference to the performance hit each AV inflicts on the system :xmouth:

2006-06-20 08:06:00 | always take reveiws with a large grain of salt, exspecially AV reveiws . don't forget whatever AV they test you will not have and even the ver you have now will be updated and gone in the next few weeks . track records and real world use are more important . with performance hits . . . . . . you need to remember thats actually adjustable to a certain . in a lot of AV's you can change what it scans . some AV's have been well known to scan minimal amount of files to be performance friendly . when testing that needs to be taken into account . nortons, when it works its ok . the problem is that it dies on a fairly regular basis .

2006-06-20 08:10:00 | Thank you to those of you have reply. But if you use an anti-virus software please pick which one you use. And not sure about your anti-virus ranking check here anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com I must admit I changed to BitDefender after this site review.... May be advertising got me but I am still using the free edition. I was using Norton, then AVG, then Avast and finally Bit Defender. So I've had a fair share of Anti Virus programs. All have caught some and all have let some through, so who knows!!!
