460064 2006-06-02 23:26:00 I could not paste something to this posting, here is the message:

"You need to edit your Mozilla config file to allow for this"

How do I edit this config file? Where is the config file? Why isFire Fox making life so difficult for ordinary users?

I'm using Fire Fox 1.5.0.4

I want to be able to paste some text I copied (say, from notepad or elase where) onto this Message box I'm using now. For example, I wish to post my hijackthis logfile to this forum.

At present, FireFox refuses me to paste it.

Went to the about:config as suggested but don't know what and how to change.

Cheers

460068 2006-06-03 22:59:00 I would try uninstalling firefox, delete its folder in program folders, delete
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla.

Then use ccleaner and click on the issues tab / click on scan for issuses.

Remove the entries that come up.

Then install FF again.

I take it, u pressed ctrl v to paste, which didnt work?

Save your bookmarks too if u have any.

460069 2006-06-03 23:03:00 See your other thread regarding ZoneAlarm.

I suspect that you have a problem with Firefox so would suggest that you completely uninstall then reinstall the latest version.
