| 460109 | 2006-06-02 22:42:00 | My mum has a compaq Presario running windows xp After I had used my Audio mp3 player for the first time the computer wouldn't start properly. The compaq screen comes up and nothing happens. My nan got windows up by doing Alt,Ctl,Del but we have to do it each time. Please can someone help us |

| 460110 | 2006-06-02 22:50:00 | Hmm the other PC here used to do that. Either after the post screen. Or while the XP logo was on the screen. It just stopped. The only thing that fixed it, was to remove a USB device, whenever he wanted to boot into XP. Then plug it back in after Windows has loaded. Have you tried unplugging the MP3 player, and plugging it back in after Windows has loaded?? To see if it still hangs, after / while the Compaq screen / logo is on the screen. Dont know if its power related or not, (the power supply in the case), but his does exactly the same thing. He's got a Packard-bell. I'm surprised his actually booted into XP, with a 280w power supply lol. The other PC here (the other one here, and the one I'm on), havent had this kind of prob. Where, it just stops while booting up. |
