| 460230 | 2006-06-04 09:43:00 | Maybe if you actually read the page on the link you will see this:- <snip> Thank you Sweep but I did actually read the page that bob_doe_nz linked to and it is quite clear what the different versions are . Have you actually read all of my posts yourself? If you did you should know that I am aware of the Yahoo toolbar version and the non-Yahoo toolbar version . That is not my issue . My issue, if it can be called that - I am merely curious, not concerned - is that on the page that CYaBro linked to there are three versions . The first is under the heading "CCleaner Download Builds" and is CCleaner v1 . 30 . 310 - Standard Build, file size 1,423KB . This is the Yahoo toolbar version, obviously . Under another section labelled "The following builds are for system admins and advanced users . They are not for distribution or mirroring . " They have CCleaner v1 . 30 . 310 - Basic - No Toolbar, file size 559KB and CCleaner v1 . 30 . 310 - Slim - No Toolbar - English Only, file size 417KB . As I said before, I am just curious, but I am wondering why they have labelled that section as "for system admins and advanced users" . Why not label them all, including the toolbar version, under that heading? I am not going to install the Yahoo toolbar version just to find out but I do wonder whether it is because that version has been dumbed down . That is why I asked if anyone else has it installed so they could perhaps let us know what it was like . Obviously I have way too much time on my hands to worry about such trivial things . . . . I've never seen the small/adware version before . That's how CCleaner used to be, before they put the Yahoo toolbar in it . I remember it being a very small download compared to how it is these days . It's a good thing we now have a choice . |
