| 460120 | 2006-06-03 01:29:00 | I have my copy of win XP pro on a 40 Gb Seagate barracuda HDD, but I want to transfer it to my new(er) 80Gb hard drive (also a seagate barracuda). Both drives use IDE, and are both set to cable select with 80-conductor cable. How exactly do you do this? I tried with the seagate boot disc, but the copied version of windows was flawed, and did not boot properly. Should I try this again (~4 hours) or is there swomething else I can use? |

Posts here have discussed this in the last month - search for Acronis Drive Image on PF1 or Google it. I remember someone saying there is a free trial version. | Rutherford (10399) | ||
