Dumb thread started by someone who knows ****.. hence the sarcasm of my last post. And ya fell for it

Oh well, better luck next time :D

By the way.. Gentoo is my OS of choice, I won't be touching Vista except to know how to fix its issues (and there will be plenty)

Lots of fixes? Oo, I know that. Pirated version users won't be advantage for this except legal users. Besides, I can't open much of my files in Linux and no problem opening them in Windows. This can chased the pirated version away and add more security in there so pirated users can't update it. They do this on purpose, because they know a lot of hackers will hack Vista and use it and they can't update it like Windows XP. Except need a lot of hacking work.

Linux is more gay for sure because you need to download a lot of plugins to open the files. Not like Windows and I find that it is a lot easier to find software for Windows not Linux.
Which OS can we play StarCraft on? Windows or Mac not Linux.

Which OS can we play StarCraft on? Windows or Mac not Linux.I wonder what you base your 'educated' arguement on. Certainly not common knowledge.

For instance, whether windows is pirated or not makes no difference. Currently there are ways to beat the authentication that XP SP2 tried to implement. You think that noone is going to find a way to circumvent any security measures that Redmond (where MS is situated) can come up with? Come on... wakey wakey. MS showing the world there new OS in beta stage is just allowing that contingent access to crack the code. Silly MS but oh well. They might learn one day.

The fact you can't open certain files on your computer aint Linux's fault.. in the end it comes back to your stupidity.. the info is there online, you just proved you can't find it is all. I have been using Linux as my FULLTIME (yes thats full time, no windows) O/S for months now almost a year. I have no problems opening .doc .mp3 .wma .ogg .avi .wmv .zip (are you getting the idea yet?).. incidentally they are taken care of with one app and one codec. And well, what do you know, some of those extensions are windows proprietary. Wakey wakey, hand off snakey.

As for Star Craft, I entered one search term in google, and hello there it was, first link, how to install Starcraft on Linux. Doh!! Wow weeee .. I know how to use a search engine .. boy that was hard.

You're right, stick with Windows, its suits you better. Then learn how to use Google.

460723 2006-06-08 08:46:00 By the way Linux cannot handle critain type of software. Some of my hardware like scanner (no drivers provided for Linux) Here (translate.google.com BOn%2BLinux%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26rls%3DGGLG,GGLG:20 06-01,GGLG:en). It is not that I never try Linux. There's pros and cons between Windows and Linux. But Microsoft always wins. MTLance (6768)

GionNO, just dedicated to not being stuck in ruts.

I am a firm believer there is something better out there (I used to use IE, I ended up on Firefox, so I figured there was something other than Windows, I discovered Linux)

460727 2006-06-08 09:18:00 Hmm, can't believe the war between Microsoft and Linux started so early. It's about time I guess. Never saw Linux in the magazine article except Vista. There's pros and cons in Linux and Windows, but Microsoft always wins.
Help me out with this (translate.google.com BOn%2BLinux%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26rls%3DGGLG,GGLG:20 06-01,GGLG:en) driver Tazz. I need help with Ubuntu since you're so good in Linux. And can I run Dreamfall: The Longest Journey on Linux Ubuntu 6.06?
And if you help me more in Linux and discover about Linux the Linux wins.

460728 2006-06-08 09:22:00 Dam, where's the Microsoft supporters??? Oo, dam must be Linux zone if no one use Mircosoft OS here. MTLance (6768)
460729 2006-06-08 09:29:00 What scanner are you specifically trying to install (theres 3 listed with that driver).

I never once said I was good with Linux (I am still learning too).

AS for Ubuntu, I never used it as a serious O/S. I Tried it and found it to be a real pita to set anything up. Therefore Im not sure what will and won't work with Ubuntu.

I settled for Gentoo, a more command line based Linux distro that I found to be a lot more configurable. I wouldnt recommend it for people new to command line or new to Linux.

I would suggest you start a thread about your scanner, so that the Ubuntu users in this forum (and there are quite a few) can help you further

From quick online research, Dreamfall will run in Cedega but runs quite badly.
