460740 2006-06-08 11:19:00 so you were experimenting with Linux on a shared computer... Yep, I have around 3 computers in home, 2 desktops and a laptop. My father only lets me try on the old desktop. It runs Ok.

Right, so stop wasting everyone's time and stick with Windows for now until you do have the time and patience to learn Linux.Yep, I'm very impatient guy ever since I saw time flying at rocket speed. And didn't bother to try it myself much except asking for help which is really annoying(I understand this case because one of my classmate keep asking the teacher for help without even trying to find the answer in book and the teacher got pretty mad). I've come from the hard way learning Windows and I don't feel like it doing in Linux because I've come too far. In Windows I've learn how to maintain my system performance and defending for myself. And now I hardly even take my computer to the computer shop. I think about 3-4 years now my computers never enter the computer shop. Sometimes I still need to buy parts from computer shops but never let them do it except detecting the problems myself. Sometimes I got problems with games and I contact the game company and solved it pretty quickly maybe not for others because some of them didn't understand much about computers.

460741 2006-06-08 11:49:00 Daemon tools - that can mount all those files, and I think it is easily available for most distros. I haven't got round to burning any CDs/DVDs with Linux - what does everyone use? K3B?K3b is probably the best thing in Linux (it easily owns Nero4linux IMHO). It will do ISO but doesnt do .mdf (proprietary Alcohol 120% file)

As for MT.. I asked you a question, you didn't answer (what, you still need spoon feeding??) You think youre so leet (what with all your knowledge and these little unimportant things you do with Windows that you can't tell us about).. Do as you have been told. Stay with Windows. Forget bashing Linux, youre not educated enough to do it yet.
You think you've done hard yards with Windows?? Awww, hang on, I'll go find you a medal.

You wanna play with Linux, its like this..
"You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland" and get to see how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

460742 2006-06-08 11:56:00 Linux? Hmm, there's rule in here. Can't say it. Besides I don't want people to involve in that. Except for people who know hackers, they know what hackers do. Hackers friends can help me out in Windows, not Linux. MTLance (6768)
460743 2006-06-08 12:01:00 Besides you don't want the cops chasing after your ass right? So mind your own business will ya? Or find hackers to play game with. MTLance (6768)
460744 2006-06-08 12:05:00 The thing that makes me laugh about many Linux home users, is they usually dual boot Xp. Then they spend most of there time in Windows and vigorously defend Linux, trashing how unstable and crappy MS operating systems are.

I guess its the mentality of some people

Linux = "for advanced users who like quality"
MS = " for noobs that know no better"

If you are one of these many people GIVE IT UP. Linux generally sucks for home use. For the record I dual boot Linux for work related issues, linux is great in many environments, the home is not one of them (even though distro after distro keeps on trying).

460745 2006-06-08 12:14:00 So Windows design for home? Linux for Offices? I heard of Linux is very good for Offices especially servers. Linux Ubuntu 6.06 can't even get info on my processor and when error pops up it uses PC speaker to make a really gay sound and XP didn't.
By the way lots of users use Windows to test out their software not Linux unless they go for Linux training.
So XP supporters huh? Can't believe they betray Linux by covering their faces in half XP and Linux. No wonder Windows Wins.
I don't to have a fight. But I heard that you need Linux training before using it. If you have custom made software don't run on Linux I guess.

Much of the internet technically runs on linux, However over 90% of the worlds desktops run on Microsoft

Linux is complete crap for gaming for a start, most of the latest games don't have native support, and Wine etc really don't cut the mustard. Add to this installing many Distro's is a little to a lot harder than Xp and drivers often a little tricker, all make it a poor choice for your home OS.

Holden Barina's are a poor choice for a Freight company (can be done), as a Mac Truck is for your wifes shopping trolly (can be done).

Are you really sure? Linux does not have features like Microsoft does for homes but for industries Linux Red Hat is a Mirosoft Rival. Yep, Holden Barina's a poor choice. Not enough power I guess. Mac aren't that great but Volvo VT800(The Raise Roof Sleeper looks much Better) (www.tnn.co.uk)with 625bhp(heavy duty long haul not light duty use or the fuel for that Volvo will kill you) have been a dream machine to many truck owner operators.;) At least someone can explain thing around. Thanks Battleneter.

Bring it on.

And besides (you idiot), thats not hacking. Its cracking. The first rule of which is know your target. But then you knew that already right? Just like you knew the correct term right?

So bring it on, I have no firewall, I should be an easy target. Take my computer down
I dare ya.

Or are you full of it like you have been this entire thread?
