| 461530 | 2006-06-08 04:50:00 | I have W98SE with OE 6. I cant seem to be able to restore dbx email files. I have them saved on cd and imported them to a folder on the hdd. Folders have been unticked for read only. When I try to import them I get the following error message "No messages can be found in this folder or another application is running that has the required files open" I havent had anything open other than OE which is required to run the import wizard. I have unticked read only What I have done is this select file, import messages, highlight oe6, click next, select import mail from oe6 store directory, click ok, browse to folder containing dbx files. I thought I was doing the right thing by backing up to cd every month. If I cant restore these dbx files all my emails to yr 2000 are toast. Thanks for any help. tedheath |

| 461531 | 2006-06-08 06:28:00 | Are the dbx files in a folder called Outlook Express? If not try putting them in a folder called Outlook Express. I have had the same problem in the past and that seemed to fix it. |
