461313 2006-06-07 04:28:00 System Mandriva 2006, KDE ver 3.4.2, Kooka ver 0.44. Scanner CanoScan lide 20.
Was fiddling with kooka and detached the segments and now Scanner Settings
section is missing.
Havc docked Image Viewer and Scan Parameter with KDE Scanning but can't find section Scanner Settings, (using image in Help as an aid) so can't start the scanner.
In Tool Views have all selections ticked except OCR which I'm not using.
In Configure set all settings to Default but nothing changed.
Uninstalled kooka and reinstalled but it returned to the mess I left it in.
How can I get it back together and working again?

461314 2006-06-07 06:06:00 Try this, making sure Kooka is not running first:

In Konqueror, go View > Show Hidden Files. Now browse to .kde/share/config/ and look for kookarc. Rename this file to orig_kookarc. Now open up Kooka again and see what it looks like. I'm hoping it will create a new default config file and return everything back to default settings. If this doesn't work, then put back your orig_kookarc to kookarc.

461315 2006-06-07 08:33:00 Thanks Jen, but can't find 'Show Hidden Files' in Konqueror, View. Will have a search through the system sure I've seen it somewhere. damien (7544)
461316 2006-06-07 09:44:00 Here is a screenshot of where that option is: View - Show Hidden Files (www.imagef1.net.nz)

Just go into your home directory and select that option. You will then see a lot of previously hidden files and folder appear. Look for the one called .kde. The . (period) before a file or folder indicates it is a hidden file/folder. Remove the checkmark from Show Hidden Files when you have finished to return Konqueror to the normal view mode. :)
