Zoom in and try to see what is there, be careful not to delete anything until we have a better idea what is going on. It looks to be wrong to me though, what are Program Files.ed, did you do some sort of backup or something? Is this data for presenting teaching programs? If so you should back this up as well then delete off your HDD after ascertaining that the backup is good. Use good quality CD's to do this don't scrimp to save a few bucks if this info is important. Your Mail folder seems excessive as well, perhaps you could burn some of that off to CDRom or some backup medium, you haven't used it for a month, also sent messages look like they could do with a culling. The rest of the folders etc looks familiar and correct. |

I see that the trash is not the recycle bin but some sort of trash within the Firefox mail program, I assume as I don't use that part of Firefox. There must be a way of emptying the trash from within Firefox. Are Program Files.ed from a Linux installation that you have had on the computer in the past? That is all I can find on Google at the moment. You have done something with this folder on the 6th June. |

| 461601 | 2006-06-10 13:50:00 | what do i say? a miracle! well almost - those ".ed" files were from that programme off the "Netguide" CD i mentioned earlier (encrypted disk) - of course i spose they were hidden but showed up in Spacemonger, so i just pinged them and they disappeared and lo & behold i've now got 2.2GB of drive to spare (more than half), this thing "runs" fast again, reboots etc. - looks like my troubles are over - many many thanks zqwerty - (if i knew your address i'd send you some beers but i realize privacy is important) - thanks again from jayal | jayal (1291) | ||
