SUSE is a very good distro for beginners and experienced alike. :thumbs: Mandriva is also a good beginner distro. :thumbs: I like the Xandros file manager but prefer other distros to Xandros. :groan: Although Ubuntu is getting more and more popular, I don't really like it that much. I think one M Shuttleworth has quite a bit of money to spend on marketing :) Try as many live cd's as you can to see which you prefer. Of course you shouldn't judge it by using it for just 5 minutes, you need spend it bit of time with each one. Of course you still might be totally confused in which case go for a walk. |
