| 461578 | 2006-06-08 06:45:00 | i realise 4GB (C:\) is not a lot, but i have twice that on another, (D:\) - the problem is the 4GB is amost full - 120MB remains - seems to have recently got to this - wonder if the programme "Paragon Encrypted Disk" that i downloaded from the March Netguide CD had anything to do with it - seem to recall it took a huge lump of space to store encrypted files - have since deleted it but had no effect on the drive space - reinstalled 98SE and defragged but no joy - the total on the drive when added is only 2.53GB so there's some unaccounted space somewhere - would someone help please before the thing crashes on me? - thanks |

| 461581 | 2006-06-08 09:02:00 | Hmm boot into safe mode, run hjt again, (make sure u unzip the file first),tick these entries and tick fix checked. R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\QTTASK.EXE" -atboottime O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinampAgent] C:\Program Files\Winamp\winampa.exe I'm not too sure if this file is part of Win98 or not. I think it is, but it maybe in the wrong folder? Dont tick this entry yet though. Anyone using 98 SE, and have this file on their system? C:\WINDOWS\ACCSTAT.EXE - This file also belongs to a worm. |

| 461582 | 2006-06-08 10:46:00 | You could download this program, it gives you a visual display of everything that is on your HDD. www.werkema.com Be careful not to right click and delete, it is easy to do, you can turn off this option in the setup until you are confident with it. |

| 461586 | 2006-06-08 11:52:00 | Did you do Windows Defrag? If yes, please proceed here: 1. Click om My Computer. Select your HDD. Right click properties. Click tools. See the error checking? Click Check Now. And select all or both if you're using XP. (I hope Win98 have similar thing). Schedule for a check? Yes. And restart what it says. My system did the same thing to me but it's fine now. I hope this will help you. | MTLance (6768) | ||
