| 1403922 | 2015-06-30 00:50:00 | Somehow, I got to reinstall my Win8 Pro (Promo version) using the Win8.1 ISO I downloaded. Installation went very smoothly - it accepted my Product Key, took only about 10 minutes. Installed all my device drivers , all OK. Only thing is, I CANNOT disable the annoying LOCK screen - in gpedit -> Administrative Templates -> Control Panel -> Personalization -> "Do not display the lock screen" isn't available. Using regedit method, changed the value to 1 rebooted, the lock screen still stubbornly pops up before I could log in. What shall I do next? |
