1403740 2015-06-28 00:14:00 Hello
I have an LG Smart TV
It has 3 usb ports which I use to hold usb sticks with various content on them.
When I use the remote to select some files to play my LG tv shows the manufacturers name of the usb device.
Eg Sandisk, Teac, AccData.
But I would like to see the volume labels I have given them.
Eg music, music videos, comedy videos etc.

Any suggestions ?

1403742 2015-06-29 02:27:00 Thanks but that does not really help as I have 3 usb sticks in my tv at once and I want to go straight to the one I want.
I cannot remember that moves are on Sandisk and that music is on Cruzer etc.
I'd just like to be able to see the volume labels not the manufacturers name.

1403743 2015-06-29 02:57:00 Not a clue really, well a slight one. There is a .inf file that you can edit to change the icon and name of a flash drive in windows but no Idea if your TV would read that file or not. Instructions here www.techerator.com

Otherwise maybe invest in a single large flash drive and create 3 folders on it :)

However, if you read through you will see that it does cover renaming various inputs
which may do what you desire.
But I have no LG tv to test it.
I suggest trying it to see
