1403499 2015-06-23 12:18:00 Every time I click a link an this sits, I find myself waiting for Google analytics for far to long. What is the problem? Vince (406)
1403500 2015-06-23 16:39:00 Dunno what the problem may be, but an easy fix is to void it in your Hosts file to eliminate your browser accessing the Google pain-in-the-arse site. Plenty info on both this site or available via Google on how to do it. Greg (193)
1403501 2015-06-23 22:27:00 I had a bad asthma attack last nite, thought I was over it when I wrote the above; clearly I was wrong! Will try again.

When I visit pressf1 and click on an internal link (to another pressf1 page) ie. to read another users post I get a message at the extreme bottom left of the window that says "waiting for Google analytics.com".

The wait can B 30 seconds which is long, or sometimes 1 minute or more - (GLACIAL): before the next pressf1 page opens. This traffic is from one pressf1, page to another pressf1 page, so why is Google in there at all. It is not like Google to B slow is it.

I hope this makes sense.

1403502 2015-06-23 22:31:00 Its a Chrome thing, at least that is what my research and testing has shown.

Kinda ironic that the only browser to have an issue with GOOGLE analytics and adwords is Chrome.

I had that problem with Firefox a couple of years back, so it's not chrome specific

It is now, at least with my testing it is
Firefox, IE, safari, Chrome and Opera

Only Chrome shows this problem.

1403506 2015-06-24 00:55:00 I can't help you then
Firefox works perfectly fine when I use it.

1403507 2015-06-24 01:07:00 Best (and easiest/most efficient) way is to download Ghostery and get rid of all those trackers and ads everywhere.

www.ghostery.com

I use Firefox also

Here's a post I made with config settings I have

pressf1.pcworld.co.nz

Cheers
