| 1403134 | 2015-06-18 14:05:00 | I am not entirely satisfied with the quality of the music on my computer. The files are OK. but I would like to take the job from the motherboard and, possibly also send it to my home theater system; without spending a lot. What can u recommend? |

Another option is to feed sound over HDMI, most graphics cards also show up as a sound device these days and can be set as the default. I feed my PC to my receiver via HDMI and the TV is fed from that. Most modern PC's onboard sound is very good, unusual to bother with a sound card these days for most people. Older machines though had rubbish sound and the difference to a sound card was immediately obvious. | dugimodo (138) | ||

What is it, exactly, and are you sure the files are OK? What format are they? And what are you listening to them with in terms of speakers or headphones? |

I've recently tried a simple, inexpensive Bluetooth dongle to get audio from the PC to the audio system. Works fine. The Bluetooth drivers took an age for Windows to get it all installed. Note however that there's a lag with the transmission, which makes this solution no good for gaming - in which case you'll need a cable. |
