The reason, it seems, is that they think, incorrectly, that their heart is on the left side of their chest and so they think they are putting their hand over their heart. I don't know about you, but my heart is in the centre of my chest, albeit ever so slightly to the left. Unfortunately, the young and impressionable copy the Yanks. So the next time you see on the TV or wherever, the Yanks putting their hand over their left tit, inform the impressionables in particular that the Yanks are ignorant and have no idea where their heart is.:waughh: |
