After all, no one living has ever seen his face, and no one was allowed to depict him either in either drawing or statue, so the cartoons over which much mayhem was caused could be of anyone wearing a turban (or even a towel) and having a beard. I'm sure Muslim children at school when drawing, draw men with turbans and beards ? |

These news paper idiots know that publishing unnecessary cartoons about religious beliefs can cause violence, and yet they continue to do so. Lives are at risk just because a few arrogant journalists get a kick out of their stupid cartoons. Political cartoons are another matter and are part of democracy. Religion is private and should remain so. I have no sympathy for them! There's a slippery slope if ever I saw one! Freedom of speech includes the ability to say anything to anyone at anytime. You start adding exceptions and soon we'll not be allowed to even think for ourselves in case we offend someone... There are no spoken or written words that are justification for anyone to go around killing people. Zqwerty has it dead on in his post above. And I don't often find myself agreeing with him!!! |
