See Pg 37. 1 Click start → All Programs → Fuji Xerox → Fuji Xerox Printer Software for Asia-Pacific → FX DocuPrint CP205/FX DocuPrint CP205 w → Printer Setting Utility I haven't given up entirely, but that utility does not function for either of the two printer options it displayed. For the first option, which identified the connection as USB001 (correct) I received the following message: 'Information not gathered because printer was busy'. [which it was not!] For USB003 (I was not hopeful on this one) the message was: 'Failed to acquire the information' I then tried a few of the less lethal-looking options for various items and none of them produced any form of result. Please note that I was NOT trying to resolve the WiFi issue with the second round of tests, I just wanted to see if I could access the Utility to shut off WiFi, and if it did anything at all. I don't understand why I have two FX printers and two different USB ports mentioned when I have only carried out one installation. I'd begun to wonder if I have two printers (HP Laserjet 1200) and the FX trying to share one USB port as I have a hub floating around somewhere under my desk, so I tried turning off the HP then rebooting the program but that made no difference. I'm sure it isn't meant to be this frustrating, I've installed nine or ten printers over the years, including two other colour lasers and they were all pretty much plug and play. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

Good luck - I am sure it must be possible to disable wifi!! I agree, but I will abandon this issue for the meantime, then when I get some spare time I'll uninstall the printer and all of the associated software and start again . I suspect that I missed an opportunity to switch it off very early in step 3A of the install process where I selected USB . I am hopeful that FX software will uninstall more cooperatively than Samsung, that was a marathon exercise (starting with Samsung's own uninstall process), then requiring Revo to get rid of the next load of 'residuals', followed by manual deletion of other software elements, and finally the desktop icon . I would not recommend that printer to anybody (except perhaps John Key, or maybe Colin Craig) . Cheers Billy 8-{) :badpc: |
