| 1403187 | 2015-06-30 06:54:00 | Hi All. I am not going to spend any money on this XP computer. I will take the hard drive out it & dump the black box. I have a question tho'. I have logged in for my free W10. I was hoping to install it on the XP m/c. But that wont work will it. This laptop has W8.1. I don't really want to install W10 over the W8.1. I doubt that there is enough room on the two drives, C & D. Can I connect something else, the old XP HDD for instance & download it to that or something similar? Thanks. PJ |

| 1403188 | 2015-06-30 09:50:00 | No, you can't get a freebie unless you upgrade the 8.1 in situ. Your C: drive would need to be able to cope with another 15GB of temporary files if you put 10.1 on it. They can be deleted afterwards. |
