| 1393068 | 2015-01-26 06:56:00 | I will only water plants in my garden that will feed us, anything that doesn't give us food can wait for the rain. I abhor people who water their lawns what a dumb thing to do unless you have sheep. Lets face it watering the lawn makes it grow then you have to waste your spare time mowing it. I agree with your watering regime 100% |

| 1393070 | 2015-01-26 17:50:00 | . I need to water each evening to keep my garden growing. But what about the weeds? They don't seem to need watering and yet they flourish. Why is that, do you think?:illogical Well they do die eventually....but weeds tend to be tougher... Watering every evening is not the best method. You end up shallow watering - causing shallow roots - and it wets the top - dries out quick next day. Water for a long time, give it a real good soaking, dig down to check.....then leave it for several days or a week. And mulch - it helps keep the top from drying out quickly and helps suppress the weeds too. |
