1392341 2015-01-20 20:15:00 i wear long sleeves, long trousers and over that overalls, boots and leather gloves. then i work outside in the midday sun lifting heavy weights.
also have to make a lot of important decisions while under that heat stress.

i would love your nice cool office.

Its actually considerably hotter inside, in some offices than outside. Thats why we open all the windows , to get some of that cool outside air :-)
But I do feel for those doing hard work outside in the blazing sun.

1392342 2015-01-20 21:36:00 No aircon here.

I am sitting at my desk in shorts and a singlet with bare feet - ranchsliders open to the pool and a nice breeze wafting through the house.

I LOVE working from home!!!

1392343 2015-01-21 00:19:00 The aircon in our new office actually works well.
I have been quite comfortable since we moved in last year.

1392344 2015-01-21 02:49:00 If you have aircon and it not working very well. Try cleaning the filters. The problem I have is working with women and there hot and cold flushes. Shorts and t shirt all year round for me plod (107)
1392345 2015-01-21 03:33:00 I'm in a new office. Must have aircon cause when I go out (various times through the day) it's like walking out into a blast furnace. pctek (84)

1392347 2015-01-21 08:24:00 You want to try working in a hangar on a ship in the Red Sea. I saw no **** 50 deg C plus on OAT gauge. Dressed in overalls, boots and anti flash. Soon learned matt black snap on tools are about as useful as Anne Franks drum set. prefect (6291)

He cuts down trees, he eats his lunch,
He goes to the lava-try.
On Wednesdays 'e goes shoppin'
And has buttered scones for tea.

He cuts down trees, he skips and jumps,
He likes to press wild flowers.
He puts on women's clothing
And hangs around.... In bars

Well we had it tough. We used to have to get up out of the shoebox at twelve o'clock at night, and LICK the road clean with our tongues. We had half a handful of freezing cold gravel, worked twenty-four hours a day at the mill for fourpence every six years, and when we got home, our Dad would slice us in two with a bread knife.
