1402656 2015-06-13 07:39:00 I have noticed that my adsl broadband has been very slow some nights and some pages will not load sometimes. eg the herald, Trademe etc.

Yet in the morning and during the day it is OK.

I have heard anecdotally that this may be due to the uptake of services such as Netflix and Lightbox etc.

Have you noticed this or is it just me or my ISP.

1402657 2015-06-13 07:45:00 Wouldn't say ours has slowed to the point of noticing in general usage. It may be slightly slower when downloading something bigger Eg: 1GB + other wise no real difference.

If I do a speed test it may slow as slower, but in real life you never get the max its capable of any way. The general Country slowness though does appear to be to online streaming services.

PS: We're on Vodafone Cable

Funny I am with Actrix and have been with them for over ten years.
Normally they rate as one of the best ISP's
I will give them a call.

1402662 2015-06-13 11:15:00 all ISPs using the same copper, in your scenario, so unlikely to make much difference at all changing between ISPs nmercer (3899)

Yep!

The day it started was bad enough, then it got worse as the word spread, but after a while the tire-kickers moved on and it is now a little faster but not yet back to normal, and probably never will be.

Cheers
