| 461954 | 2006-06-09 17:06:00 | {This is the the question that I spent the time to type in carefully earlier today but which the forum software lost, so I am trying it again} When you use windows to email a picture (either by right clicking or by selecting the task by hovering) the first thing that happens is that Windows asks whether or not to shrink the picture for mailing. The only two choices are "Make all my pictures smaller" or "Keep the original sizes" These are the choices no matter what size(s) of the original pictures(s). My problem is that the default is to Make all my pictures smaller which is almost never what I want to do, so I always have to change the setting to Keep the original sizes. Doing this once is trivial, but doing it a dozen or more times gets very old very quickly. I don't mind that windows always offers to shrink my pictures (even though it is silly when it offers to shrink pictures that are thumbnail size to start with), my problem is just with the default being to shrink the pictures because this always means that I have to move the pointer over to change the setting each time I email a picture. It would be much more convenient if I could set the default to Keep the original sizes, so all I would need to do is hit return or click the OK button without needing to first change the setting. Most windows default actions can be changed, and I suspect there must be some way to change this one, but I have not had any luck finding it documented anywhere. Does anyone know how to change the default between these two settings? |

| 461957 | 2006-06-10 03:41:00 | I'd have thought the simplest thing to do would be to right click on the picture file, and first of all choose resize. There are 4 sizes to choose from. Then the picture can be sent. | Terry Porritt (14) | ||
