461893 2006-06-09 09:20:00 Hello, I've recently up graded this pc from ME to XP home (thanks to Speedy et al, FAT32 is now NTFS). C & D partitions remain the same as they were with ME. C smallish and D much bigger; the reason for this was that an FAQ showed me how to transfer:- My Documents/Recent Documents/Send -to/Communications/Favourites, and a few others to D partition. TweakUi was needed to change location, and I think IE & OS went to Tools/Options to do their thing. It seemed a good idea, D partition filled up with my stuff and C remained uncluttered and copied/backed up.
I'd really like to do that now with XP, but being a longtime newby-nervosa I'm not keen to go ahead without help; I've looked for a similar FAQ to the one mentioned above but, but found nothing. Can anyone suggest a how-to please. Cheers Sarum

Reinstall them to D.

Altho, not all programs like being installed on any other partition but C.

If you mean documents you've saved to C, just make a folder on D, and copy the docs to the folder.
