| 461822 | 2006-06-09 05:34:00 | My partner complained yesterday that all her emails received after 2 June had "disappeared" from her Eudora In box. On examining the pertinent files, I found the "missing" emails were all still there in the In.mbx file as raw text (not easy to read); it was the table of contents file, In.toc, that had unaccountably lost a chunk from the end. Is there any way of getting Eudora to rebuild the ToC? I used to get error messages when the ToC got out of sync with what was in the mailbox, and at one click of a button, the index would be rebuilt. But in this case, we didn't get the error message, and wonder how we can "proactively" rebuild the ToC. Can any seasoned Eudora users help? Argus |

Deletion does just delete the index entries and leaves the actual contents in place (until the next time the database is "compacted") . Is there an "undelete" command in Eudora? That would fix it if it was just a finger problem. (Make a copy of the database and index files somewhere, just in case before trying anything). |
