461802 2006-06-09 03:12:00 Following a recent thread about anti-virus where Speedy_Gonzales mentioned Comodo, I downloaded and installed the Comodo Firewall, AV, Backup and i-Vault applications on one of my spare PC's.

Initial impressions - nice clean interface (very reminiscent of Nortons). AV is only a beta version ATM, and has given me a few false positives already (I've tried several other AV scanners on the affected files). Other than the AV glitches though, everything seems pretty straightforward.

And you can't really argue with the price.

461803 2006-06-09 06:19:00 Any one else? Thinking of trying it out,but guess I have to uninstall Zonealarm first, and then reinstall it if I don't like it.....think it can wait a bit!! Just read of a few problems with the latest Zonealarm update. Neil McC (178)
461804 2006-06-09 08:24:00 Yes I have been using it for over a week now and have found it really quite good for a free one. I use Kerio on my home computer, and have found they are quite similar.

461806 2006-06-10 02:37:00 And another update for it, just came out today. Which updated it to 2.1.1.1

Yup, and dont use the AV. Its too buggy. And crashed often, when it scanned my email using Poptray.
