| 461717 | 2006-06-08 20:04:00 | I havent changed or installed anything new on my computer, i get home and try to run a game, and voila! I get a nice error about not having directx up to date, so i try another game and the same deal. I go into my control panel and check dxdiag, and it says no files are damaged, and run the test thingy, each test had an error for the step involving 3d animation (or something like that) I tried reinstalling it multiple times and this didnt help... I have windows XP, direct x 9.0c, ati 9600 xt, 1280mb ram, and 2.4ghz Thanks, and specific error messages will be provided shortly |

Please ensure you have directX 8.1 or newer insalled and that your display drivers are current. DirectX may be found on your cd... blah blah When using DX diag this is what i get while testing Direct 3d in the display tab: Test failed at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x88760827 (error code) Hope that helps, this has never happened to me before :stare: |
