| 461635 | 2006-06-08 11:06:00 | I have access to another computer. Should I format that drive, put it into mine and do a fresh install of xp? | DrGoon (10518) | ||
| 461636 | 2006-06-08 11:07:00 | Slave the HD into another machine, then copy/paste it over. or Boot off a live Linux Cd and burn it all to disc. Though if neither is an option, do a dirty install, (dont bother to activate it if she asks) burn off all your crap to CD (or partition the HD and shift what yu want saved onto the new partition)and then Format/install. |

| 461637 | 2006-06-08 11:14:00 | Metla, good advice thanks. I like where your head is at. Yes I think I will install the drive as a slave and copy over, format and then do a fresh install. Metla & tweak'e you are the best. Hope I can get back to you if it turns awkward? Cheers G |
