My bro is doing a computer course that involves robotics and computers. And hes stuck on a few things so I offered my help...but i got stuck too.

We have to incorporate a few certian items into a robot...

a light sensor that detects difference between black and white...
2 buttons that can control on and off...
the ablity of reversing for 2-3 seconds after detecting the colour change then turning right and continuing forward until detecting change again and repeating until button is pushed to switch off.


I helped him by setting up a "program" using Robolab, but connecting it all 100% is being difficult, we keep getting "broken" wires, before transferring it to the RCX on the robot, we thought we had it before, but it said that we had the light/dark sensor and the touch sensor both running off same port but we "re-assigned" the ports so they were different but didnt work (same error...dunno why)

I just cant get my head around it, am currently reading the 300page pdf manual to see if it can give me anything...

Can anyone help make this a bit easier for us :)

we've got most of it working, we just cant make the "split tasks" of stopping/starting the process at any time while the process is going...
