It is a full-on interface and Istruggle with it.

463120 2006-06-15 02:41:00 If that is going to be the base accesspoint make sure it's running in accesspoint mode, all other accesspoints connecting to it must be in client mode.

Or give a few more details on how its plugged in and other computers/devices on the network.

463121 2006-06-15 04:05:00 Hi Rob
Below is the basic setup page

Would you mind having a look?
The internet works fine, just not the wireless. The second machine can ping the router but can't get any further? It is on a Netgear wireless card. The main machine can print on the network printer but I can not ping its IP address? Port one the wired connection to the router, port two the printer.
Any idea what could be the problem?

Thanks

463122 2006-06-15 04:38:00 Guessing under the X's the IP for the linksys is 192.168.1.1

Do an ipconfig at the Command prompt to see if the other two computers are corectly getting an IP address. They should be 192.168.1.X

Are there any other devices on the network that could be serving DHCP?

If they are getting IP's from 192.168.1.2 upwards thats great next thing to see is where the computers are getting the DNS settings from, try ipconfig /all at the command prompt, hopefully these will be 192.168.1.1

Next setup a shared folder on each computer, make sure you give full read/write permissions, and put both computers in the same workgroup.

Now ping everything from both computers.
Then when working you can turn on WEP/WAP.
