| 462991 | 2006-06-14 09:18:00 | I have xp connected to a router for internet access & network, it intermittantly drops the connection to the router. the adsl light shows it's still connected but it won't go through to the internet until i disable the connection & enable it again. It seems to be linked to how long it's left idle. I unchecked let the system turn the device off & it made no difference. I haven't made any adjustments to the router settings. It's just done it after around 10 minutes, the other computer still had internet access, but I didn't check the network connection to the other comp. I'll do that next time it falls over Any ideas? |

I did a bit of googling & apparantly the operating system doesn't like the way older router firmware works. Security threat | Phil B (648) | ||
