463042 2006-06-16 05:40:00 MMM I have one of these (www.ascent.co.nz) which has served me very well over the past two or three years of constant use. You can now get a 1GB drive for what I paid for it though.

It came with a mini-CD with the drivers for Win 98 and Win ME on it and so far it has worked on all machines with USB ports which are the narrow rectangular slots either at the back of the case or at the front.

It is an essential little gadget for geeks, I reckon, and I'd be quite lost without mine now. :)

Yea, I have the gig one, and it works 'o' for awesome.
Being a guitar freak, my music gets recorded live and stalled on mine, it normally sits in my mixing desk, completely forgot about it as it has never left the desk!

Thanks FoxyMX, sounds just what I need . :)
Funny how sizes change in a couple of years . I thought my 40GB hard drive was huge compared to my old 2Gb PC which died [funnily enough by lightning strike hitting the house and fried it - same as a previous post by someone else yesterday] .
Having a German exchange student download huge amounts of photos via my laptop soon humbled me and my laptop .
Gee, if I get this flash drive I'll have 41Gb :dogeye:
