| 463488 | 2006-07-30 03:00:00 | I would be 99% sure that Tea Timer is the culprit here (Spybot SD advanced) It should show up in your system tray as a page with a padlock on it. Try right click Exit Spybot-S&D resident and then change your home page then restart Spybot S&D. There should be a pop-up if S&D is refusing a registry change but I have come across several instances of it either not showing the pop-up or having a corrupt interface which does not allow the change even if you click yes to allow it. Spybot-S&D resident (Tea Timer) is a powerful way to protect your system but sometimes it errs on the overprotective an needs some work to make it fully functional. I, and I'm sure many others, would suggest ditching IE and going for another browser like Opera or one of the Mozilla offerings such as Firefox |
