| 463841 | 2006-06-17 08:47:00 | Ive just had to replace an elderly CD/RW with another second hand one. Only problem is Nero is installed and advises it only works with the CD/RW it was packaged with! (Well, thats the broken one) :( Now, who would know what the replacement CD ROM was packaged with? :confused: So, what is the accepted way to solve this impasse? It reads OK, it just needs Burning Software. Oh, OS=Win98se. Life ain't meant to be easy. :D |

| 463843 | 2006-06-17 09:05:00 | Its saying that coz its an OEM version.. And will only work with the original burner it came with. This is based on the serial # you typed in Nero to register it. Only way to change this, is to change the serial number. If u had one. Then it'll work. |

| 463845 | 2006-06-18 00:18:00 | Yep, I tried that CDBurnerXP Pheonix and it seems to go ok on 98se . In fact, it looks quite good . Had one hang-up but that may have been my fault . :blush: However, how do you stop it finalising a disk so as to have a multisession disk? :confused: |
