463514 2006-06-16 00:00:00 When i right-click my internet connection (the two screens on the taskbar), and try to disable it, i get a message saying "It is not possible to disable the connection at this time. This connection may be using one or more protocols that do not support Plug-and-Play, or it may have been initiated by another user or the system account." This has just started happening as I could disconnect everytime i tried before now. Please Help!!! Any ideas??? springa886 (10558)

Ooops!

Thanks Godfather .

Not under the weather at all . . . in fact quite the contrary . Turned out to be such a beautiful day I was in a rush to get outside and enjoy it before it all turns to custard this weekend . :stare:

463520 2006-06-20 11:01:00 Hey guys, sorry I my reply hasnt been the speediest, apparently lightning strikes have screwed the broadband up in the waikato . . . . or thats what telecom is saying anyway!!!

I have followed that link to the letter, and it found a few lame files that i thought i had deleted already, and then deleted them, but I still cant disconnect from the internet (unless i use the device manager, which i guess is alright, but it takes longer, lol) .

Any more ideas???? Its really no biggie because i leave my PC online anyway but, ya know, i just like to know whats goin on!

463521 2006-06-20 11:10:00 It might be a good idea to post a HijackThis log here so the experts can analyse it, just in case. FoxyMX (5)

463523 2006-06-20 12:39:00 Looks like you've got some real nasties there.

I can't advise on all the entries to clean - some others here will help better. But here's a definite start:

Reboot into safe-mode, disable the System Restore, run Hijackthis again, and tick to fix all the following:
