| 464103 | 2006-06-18 08:21:00 | im having a problem and i think i might have to go to the shop :( a few months ago my hubby put a dvd burner in the second slot of the hp. and all of a sudden every now and then it would shut down but not completeley you could still hear it and the yellow light would come on. and now its happining even more and some times wont even boot up:( please can some one help me its driving me in sane :mad: |

| 464105 | 2006-06-18 09:04:00 | Is the DVD burner the only burner installed?? Or have you got a cd writer installed as well? (Whats in the first slot)? If you have 2 burners (a cd and a dvd writer installed), I would check if you've jumpered one to Master and the other to slave. And also make sure neither (if you're using 2 burners), are on the same IDE connection as a hard drive. |

When it was in i think hubby connected it to the slave connection i have opened the box a number of times and pushed things back and all. Another friend said something about reimageing and taking off the crative photo program off its really fustrating :groan: | Jotaz (10577) | ||
