464581 2006-06-19 21:47:00 On my; Asus 8V-MX mobo (Athlon 64), running WinXP Pro, I have on board sound - Realtek AC97 Audio for Via (R) Audio Controller.
The problem is the sound is tinny, sounds like people are speaking in a pipe or something - really awful for trying to use Skype or listen to the commentary from my wife's videoing.
I've tried every config I can think of and Googled as well, also changed speakers. But I still have the problem  .
Would anyone have any suggestions please.

464582 2006-06-19 22:35:00 Installing a sound card should fix your problem, unless both sets of speakers were of a poor quality. FoxyMX (5)

464584 2006-06-19 23:22:00 check the sound effects tab on the sound setup, it may show bathroom or stone room setting. Skinnerjack (59)
