| 464464 | 2006-06-19 10:29:00 | Could only open 1 link, but always go pentium over celeron. For the record anything over P3 ~1Ghz, with 256MB RAM will run XP quite nicely or Linux with ease. Maybe increase your budget to $400-$500 as well, you will get a much better computer if you get outta the mega-budget price range. |

| 464470 | 2006-06-19 22:34:00 | Yeah that looks pretty good, but I'm only looking for a 1GHz+ or so machine with USB 2.0, that has a small form factor and will have good hardware reliability, 256 mb RAM and preferably a CD-RW. I won't be using a fancy graphics card or anything like that, the machine just needs to run 24/7. I'm stumped here.... I don't know what to choose. I'm prepared to spend up to about $300 What would you choose? |
