| 464895 | 2006-06-21 04:31:00 | Are you meaning back up of all your personal data, or are you refering to the program itself? Personal data is a case of going to File | Import and Export Wizard | Export to a file | Choose .pst (Personal Folder File) | Select the Personal Folders and tick Include subfolders | Choose a place to save it and voila. The whole program I can't help you with sorry. :D |

| 464896 | 2006-06-21 04:46:00 | mantermite - While the process you describe does work, it can cause issues with the size & efficiency of the PST file. A better method of doing this is to copy the existing PST file (when outlook is closed) from its home in the docs and settings folder. This file should contain all email, the folder structure, and all contact / calendar details. When you need to re-import it again, just change the 'PST file location' setting in outlook to point to the copy. Problem solved! The one downside to this technique is that you cannot merge two different inboxes together with it - but you can do this with mantermite's method. |
