| 465483 | 2006-06-23 15:32:00 | Hi Everyone, I've had problem with my PC and as a result had to do System Restore, so now I'm back to basics (and all data lost) but without any sound on my PC. I've checked in the sounds and audio device box, and it states NO AUDIO DEVICE, and it appears the volume control is disabled (have checked all the cables). Then I checked in the Device Manager that the sound, Legacy A Drivers, Media Control Devices etc, etc did not have a exclamation mark over the entries, they did not, However,in the same box and under the heading of other Devices the Multimedia Audio Controller does have a exclamation mark against it....in the ACTION tab it says click to update driver.....But I'm nervous and unsure this is what to do, also, this may be the wrong method because this is new to be and my info is from the PC Manual Any Help would be appreciated. Regards Elaine |
