| 465179 | 2006-06-23 00:14:00 | That memory useage is quite high but would be normal if you keep lots of tabs or windows open. Try closing some and restarting FF occasionally. What version of v1.5 are you using? Check that you have the latest as older versions of FF has been known to have memory bugs. | ghostrider (10600) | ||

How on earth do they manage to get that?! :eek: Right now I have two windows and umpteen dozen tabs open and Opera is cruising along at just under 70MB. If I close everything down to one window and tab it will be around 20MB. Last time I looked FF used more than that with one page but since FF isn't my usual browser I don't know how much RAM it uses when fully loaded with a similar number of tabs. |

| 465187 | 2006-06-23 05:00:00 | Right, test time.... Both browsers have 25 tabs open, Firefox memory usage is currently 55,300K and Opera's is 52,956K. That is after restarting each browser and loading the tabs. From past experience I would expect the usage to go up more during a session even after some tabs are closed. |
