465999 2006-06-25 10:50:00 Whos your ISP in the UK??

It'll have the settings on your ISP's homepage somewhere.

It'll be something like pop.yourisp.co.uk (or pop3.yourisp.co.uk).

And smtp.yourisp.co.uk or similar.

466000 2006-06-25 10:50:00 In Outlook Express go into Tools > Accounts, click on your account then Properties and copy the information listed to Thunderbird's options.

Edit: Er... that is if you already have the settings in Outlook Express.

466001 2006-06-25 10:50:00 Go to your ISP website all the setting will be in the help section. Safari (3993)
466002 2006-06-25 10:52:00 Check on your internet providers site, they are bound to have them listed, and will look something like this

pop3.paradise.net.nz (paradise being my internet provider)
smtp.paradise.net.nz

466003 2006-06-25 10:54:00 POP3 is your incoming server... will be POP3.<your ISP>

for instance POP3.bt.co.uk (just made that up!)

SMTP is your outgoing server, set up the same SMTP.bt.co.uk

In Thunderbird go into tools> account settings> click on 'add account' button then just follow the instructions.

yahoo is the same as hotmail, only if you have the paid subscription will it work with outlook or thunderbird

AIM and gmail accounts both work with thunderbird and outlook, if you don't have a gmail account check the very first post in the chat section
