465583 2006-06-24 01:27:00 When I click Internet Explorer, instead of going to my homepage, I am taken to a spyware website called Syssecuritysite.com...The site is an ad to purchase Pest Trap..
I tried cleaning my system using Adaware, spybot, spysweeper in safe mode, but I am still unable to change my homepage even though my settings show the URL for my desired homepage...Any suggestions? Thanks
KP1836 (10612)
465584 2006-06-24 01:36:00 You have a virus .....

Please download HijackThis (www.cyberanswers.org). It will create a directory folder for you in C\Program files. Run a scan and save the log file. Post the whole log file here. Do not fix anything since most of them listed there are harmless (some are system required). This program will help determine what,if any, spyware/malware is on your computer.

465585 2006-06-24 01:37:00 Get the file in my sig below and post the log here.

Or go here (www.hijackthis.de) paste the log here and see what comes up as nasty.

465586 2006-06-24 01:43:00 Go to tools in Internet Explorer on the top> then click Internet Options> then change your homepage URL.I hope this works.

I don't use Spysweep but I use McAfee Anti Virus and Anti Spyware and my system is running more stable than ever rahter than with Norton. Remember they might ranked the top but I don't really trust them unless you use it by yourself.

465592 2006-06-24 02:40:00 Boot into safe mode run hijackthis again (unzip it first), then run it, tick these entries and tick fix checked.
