| 466011 | 2006-06-27 21:50:00 | first set up the extension properly go to your webmail extension preferences check your server status i have POP and SMTP both runing so i can send and receive mail in the ports section.. if servers have problem starting choose a differnt port.. often a larger number but if you can have server running fine on its default port..then yea remember the port numbers you'll need to use them to config your account then you can use thunderbird's create new account wizard to make an account i made one for my hotmail one..just follow through the wizard for incoming server type localhost and the port just use what you set in the webmail's prefernce now try and see if it works..send email to yourself..hopefully thunderbird will show new mail under your newly created hotmail/yahoo account |

| 466013 | 2006-06-28 09:59:00 | No you dont use your email pop or smtp info, for yahoo or hotmail. Go to the Yahoo or Hotmail site, to see what the settings are. |

| 466015 | 2006-07-01 10:40:00 | Do i use the same server name ? pop3.ukonline.co.uk ? um..where are you asked this server name? the only place i got asked for server stuff is in the new accoutn wizard and i just use "localhost" the whole point of the extension is that even you do not have paid accounts you can still get your mail so i dont' think you should go looking for settings on their site um..if you're desperate you can try again i guess it is kinda handy now how i can get my hotmail into thunderbird don't wanna go back to web based anymore um..i didn't lie to you btw..mine works..trust me~ |
