| 465931 | 2006-06-28 11:51:00 | Greg - SIW doesn't run from a floppy. I tried it after booting up with both DOS 6.22 and 98SE boot floppies and got "This programme can't be run from DOS" or some such message each time. For anyone using Aida16 from a floppy, I found a way around the lockup I was getting on one cptr (haven't had a chance to try it on others yet) when it got to the Soundblaster page (p. 14). In my case, at least, if I press the End key anytime before I get to p. 14 it jumps to the end OK and then if I scroll backwards from there it will detect and display the Soundblaster info. Not only that, but having displayed the page by backscrolling it will happily continue to do so by forward scrolling until the util is reloaded. |

I used it at work instead of ASTRA, but as it is a practice frowned upon, I use it only for my own customers..give it a try. P.S. You can use ASTRA too.. |
