| 466561 | 2006-06-27 00:53:00 | Recently items in file listings in Explorer panes are showing printed in blue. There seems to be no pattern to it, and it's irritating because the eye is drawn to the blue entries. · Is there any way I can stop it? · How did it start in the first place? · Might it have something top do with Google Desktop installed recently? · Is there any way of preferentially colouring file entries intentionally in an Explorer pane? The same file entry colouring appears in PowerDesk as well, so it probably has to be an attribute of each particular file. PC runs Win XP Home. Any suggestions would be welcome. |

| 466562 | 2006-06-27 01:06:00 | This is a feature in explorer - I think you can disable it in the view options (From memory it's tools>>view options). The blue text designates compressed or encrypted files. I think it may also appear for one other type of file, but I'm not sure. | Erayd (23) | ||
| 466563 | 2006-06-28 05:42:00 | To the best of my knowledge the files in blue are neither compressed nor encrypted. As I said, there seems to be no pattern to it plus there seems to be more of them every day; it's like an infestation. It also affects Explorer views for my wife who logs on as separate user. I'll try your suggestion and let you know. I think it's creepy! Mike |
