| 467462 | 2006-06-30 11:20:00 | My cousin is having trouble connecting a projector to her laptop. I'm going round to sort it out tomorrow & with the collective knowledge of pressf1, hopefully it will be a 1 min max job. The projector is saying no input. The projector uses a DSUB (VGA monitor) connection. The laptop uses an intel chipset rather than an ATI or nvidia mobile card. I thought that it automatically detected when a monitor/projector was connected & switched to the external display, but that doesn't seem to be happening. some laptops have a function key to switch between displays, but they can't find anything that looks like it might do that. |

I'll have to get the function key set up for them though - what I found ridiculously easy was far too complicated for them. Its probably just a small app that always rund in the background that enables the use of the function key. I'll check out the VIAO website to see if I can find it. |
