| 1404070 | 2015-07-03 05:51:00 | Hi Team For some time I have been having this problem with Skype: When I open a session I get the message 'Skype Home is not available at present, please try again later'. If I leave it on that screen, it may activate after a period of time which may be 15-30 minutes or more, after which it then functions normally. Restarting and/or rebooting etc doesn't help, so if I want to set up a session I have to open Skype 30-45 minutes or more before I need it, and if I'm lucky I'll be able to get on line. Skype seems to update regularly so I'm not using outdated programming. Any ideas? Cheers Billy 8-{) :help: |

| 1404071 | 2015-07-03 06:02:00 | Havent had these issues, is this on a PC? Might be a good idea to remove it, clear the settings, etc and try a clean reinstall. If it still continues, maybe it could be something like a firewall preventing it. Cheers, KK |

| 1404072 | 2015-07-03 06:03:00 | Billy, it works fine on my XP machine, but it's a p r i c k on wife's W7 machine. It just updated and took 10 seconds to come on stream. Use it to talk to son and family in Palmy. lurking. |

| 1404074 | 2015-07-04 15:05:00 | Billy, I've had that regularly and all I did was click it off and then select "Skype home" from the view menu. Don't know why it does that but that ?solution? worked for me. |

I can't see what is wrong with showing an Options and Editing button on the screen. W8 People/Contacts is another program which make any editing a search in the dark. | Richard (739) | ||
