1403987 2015-07-01 23:57:00 Just migrated to Office 2013 after my fresh install of Win8.1; encountered 2 issues:

1. When I tried to restore my previous backup .pst files which I stored in a backup folder, Office 2013 pops up access denied error message. I then copied the .pst file to another folder, it restored successfully. Why?

2. In the new Office 2013, the Contacts folder is missing - all my contacts are there though. How do I get back my Contacts folder? Googled and found lots about this but it only makes me confused.

Any one here using 2013 can help?

Cheers

On the bottom of Outlook, click on PEOPLE . Then the contacts folders will show

this vid will give some Idea, they have clicked 'people' & the contacts are showing

1403993 2015-07-02 05:21:00 Still can't get the contacts folder to show up. I can get it from the bottom PEOPLE to access all my contacts.

Speedy: Does your contacts folder show up just like Inbox, Sent, etc.?

1403994 2015-07-02 05:58:00 Mine looks like this. All I do is click on the envelope or the 2 people on the bottom to switch between the 2 Speedy Gonzales (78)
1403995 2015-07-02 06:22:00 You need to click on the three dots at the bottom and then select Folders, then you'll see the whole folder tree list of your PST. CYaBro (73)
1403996 2015-07-02 06:46:00 OK. I think that's about it - it's different from the previous Outlook versions.

I encountered another weird thing in this outlook 2013:

I set up my xtra account as my primary email account and gmail as my other account. I can receive and sent from both accounts without problem - Good!

But, when I login to my gmail from the webbase email account and send an email to my xtra account, Outlook 2013 receives 1 copy in the Xtra account Inbox and 1 copy in the gmail account Inbox as well - duplicated. I don't have this problem with Outlook 2010.

Settings are all the same as my previous Outlook 2010.
